STEP 1. COMPOSE YOUR FIRESTICK FOR THE UPDATE

If you have installed third-party addons before on your Firestick, you’ve probably already done these steps. You can jump over this step if you’ve already done it before. There are four changes you have to make in the ‘Settings’ of your Firestick:

1. Enable ADB debugging, 2. Allow apps to install from Unknown Sources, 3. Turn OFF Device Usage Data, and 4. Turn OFF Collect App Usage Data. Follow this step-by-step tutorial, and you will be good to go.

Step 1. Navigate to Settings on your Firestick, select “My Fire TV,” and enable “Developer Options” by clicking on it.

The free version of ES File Explorer does not support free sideloading of third-party apps any longer. You will require a premium subscription that costs $9.99 per month, whereas the Downloader is entirely free. If you have already installed Kodi using this method, you may skip this one.

  1. Power-On your Firestick.
  2. Go to Settings>My Fire TV.
  3. Click on Developer Options.
